I thought I’d add another image that isn’t really part of my literary line, but sort of looks like it should be. I took this after I finished shooting the final version of Guarding Stones and am using the image for my profile on Bandcamp.
Side note: For those of you that were never in a marching band during high school, a band camp is a summer retreat, usually for a marching band. In my case, it was a one-week stay on a SoCal beach where we practiced marching and playing a bunch of Sousa toons. I mostly played brass instruments, trumpet, baritone, trombone, etc. They tried to get me to march with a Sousaphone, but I didn’t fall for their ploy. We spent 8 hours each day practicing, then had 3 hours off to get sunburned swimming in the ocean.
Anyway, the skull is just my regular, around the house skull. Y’all have around the house skulls, don’t you? I got the shot glass at the Tillamook Creamery a few years ago when we stopped by on a vacation in OR. I thought it would be fun to not only reference a comical musical meme, but also my passion for cheese. It also shows my preference for hard liquor over beer or wine, though I almost never do shots anymore. For those of you that don’t understand the quote, Google “More Cowbell” videos. I’m sure it will be the first one on the list.

I'm jealous! I love Tillamook cheese. Maybe I can go there next summer's break.
